Fast rising Nigeria hip-hop star and banking and finance student of Lagos state university(LASU), Olaniyan Damilola know as Damino Damoche,was shot dead this afternoon at the entrance gate of LASU. Damoshe was shot twice in the head and hand after he finished writing a test at faculty of management science. Police and security officers are currently at the scene and his body is still on the premises of the institution as at the time of filing this report. The killers, eye witnesses say, are suspected to be cultists.

Nigeria pop singer Goldie Harvey was buried this morning  Vaults and Gardens in Ikoyi by 10am. The burial date was fixed after Andrew Harvey (Her husband) arrived the country, Saturday night. No recording device will be allowed at the event as the family intends to “keep it as private as they can” . The late singer passed on after complaining of a slight headache on Valentine’s day – she is survived by her Father, Step mum and five siblings. May her soul rest in peace!

Former west ham united defender and Ghanian defender John Paintsil was arrested for alleged stab his wife. Reports gathered by Goal.com says that Ghanaian international footballer, John Paintsil has been arrested by the Legon Police in Accra for allegedly stabbing his wife, Richlove, in the eye on Friday afternoon. Paintsil was confronted by his wife following rumours he slept with some prostitutes during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations  tournament in South Africa. The allegation was first made by football enthusiast and social commentator Appiah Kofi  popularly known as Appiah Stadium during a radio interview. Appiah alleged that the veteran defender was responsible for bringing women to the Black Stars camp to have sexual intercourse with them and this culminated in the team’s poor output at the tournament. The recent kidnap of 29-year-old Kemisola Ogunyemi , a lady who returned to Nigeria with her husband to bury her late mother and settle down has stirred up some apprehension among Nigerians living abroad who plan to return home. Kemisola lost her mother on Wednesday 26th December 2012 and returned to Nigeria with her husband, Akin  from the United States for the burial after living there for about a year. Sadly, she was kidnapped at about 8.30pm in Ajah, Lagos on Sunday 10th February 2013. She was kidnapped about one minute’s drive to her Abraham Adesanya Estate home in Ajah.
