Messi’s Golden Foot Goes On Sale

Argentina and Barcelona play marker Lionel Messi’s replica golden foot was unveiled this week and  it later goes on sale this week.
 The replica golden foot was Created by Japanese jewelery company Ginza Tanaka, ‘The Golden Foot’, a 25 kilogram cast of the 25-year-old’s lethal left foot, was produced to commemorate Messi’s record-breaking haul of 91 goals during 2012.

The cast measures 25 centimetres high, 28 centimetres wide and 16 centimetres deep, is attached to a gold stand which includes Messi’s autograph and is displayed on a marble and wood base.
The one of a kind item is priced at $US5,250,000.
Around 50 golden foot plates of Messi’s left are also available for approximately $US94,500 per plate, while 100 half-size versions of Messi’s foot cast are on sale for $US42,000 each.

Proceeds from the sales will go towards the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March 2011.
