The year edition of Kora Awards 2012, Nigeria have 8 nominee such artiste like D’Banj, Clarence Peters,Infinity Group,Omawumi,Chidinma, Davido but Kedike crooner Chidinma emerged winner for Best African Female Act award for her hit song ‘Kedike’beating another Nigeria ebony skinned, song goddess Omawumi’s ‘If you ask me’ and five other African female artists. while
Omo baba olowo Davido who was absent also was a winner at the event as he clinched the Best Newcomer Award.
The likes of D’Banj, Clarence Peters and the Infinity Group as they failed to win in
their categories as Best Male African act, Best Director and Best Gospel
group respectively.
