Lance Armstrong Banned for life by World Cyclist Body

Official statement: @LanceArmstrong to Step Down as Chairman of @LIVESTRONG

Former USA road racing cyclist and triathlete and seven times Tour de France champion Lance Edward Armstrong has banned for life by the cycling's world governing body which was recommend by United States Anti-Doping Agency.


Armstrong was banned for life and all his results from August 1, 1998 removed. So far, Armstrong's only response has been to remove reference to being a seven-time Tour winner from his Twitter biography.
